WARM BISCUIT

Written by , Posted in spotlight brands we love

biscuit bedding

as you may, or may not have noticed, i have been m.i.a. for most of the summer.  july and august are normally slower months for us at baby by design.  a lot of our customers are traveling or busy with kids being home from school, but this summer has been wild! things have been crazy at home too, our house flooded at the end of june which has lead to me and the mr. shacking up in our guest room.  while downsizing to a queen size bed has felt traumatic and at times down right dangerous we have had one saving grace, our biscuit bedding.

i was introduced to biscuit-home by one of my good friends who grew up in houston.  when we moved last year i bought a bedding set for our guest room and it always makes me happy any time i walk by that room.  it wasn’t until our recent stint in the guest room that i could truly appreciate what makes biscuit bedding so great.  not only is it beautiful, fresh, and fun but it is also incredibly comfortable!  did i mention they make crib sheets?  your baby needs to be tucked into this kind of warn biscuit for sure.

i love the idea of mixing their products in with your existing bedding, I myself used these furbish pillows.  here are some cute biscuit beds i found on pinterst, i would climb in any of them!

MATERNITY STYLE::RACHEL BILSON

maternity style::rachel bilson

this may be the simplest “get the look” post i have every done.  you know what they say though…

i saw this image of rachel bilson last week and it reminded me of two things. the first being that bikini’s are super cute on pregnant girls.  she is obviously early in her pregnancy and probably still feeling great and is getting use out of the suits she already owns.  the second is that i love marysia swim suits! this gives me hope that if i ever get around to a baby bump i can still rock some of my favorite swim wear.  winning.

father’s day is always a bit of a conundrum for me.  unlike christmas or birthday where i might ask him what is on his wish list, father’s day is the one holiday where i feel like i have complete freedom to pick something on my own that i think he might like.  i seriously stress the “might” in that sentence because i don’t know about you, but my dad is impossible to shop for! when thinking about father’s day this year, i also took into consideration the young dads i know.  my mom told me yesterday that stephen king has a new novel out, “mr. mercedes“, that my dad has been coveting. sorry dad, already purchased your gift so you won’t be getting this one from me but it looks like a winner. my parents gave this american made axe to my husband for christmas and he absolutely loves it.  it is fully functional but would also look great hanging in any man cave. one of my besties sells j. hilburn men’s clothing and this belt is my current obsession from the line.  what dad doesn’t need a new belt? williams sonoma has the most amazing ice cream starter, i might gift this just so i could benefit as well. i came across these alexander mcqueen cuff links while looking for a christmas gift for andrew. edgy, yes, but utterly perfect if you ask me! the big green egg is a no brainer, although if you are looking for something under $1000, you might be more interested in the sydney hall candle, or navy inspired coasters.  the last is a personal favorite around our house.  jack black makes an awesome line of mens shaving and personal care items that are sure to be appreciated!

if you are like me you have waited until the last minute anyways, so i hope this helps! anyone else have any great ideas? let me know.
